What Role Does a Bellows Actuator Play in an Edge Control Tracking System?

• Tracking systems are an application where bellows actuators are commonly used.
• The system is typically located below or above the filter belt in paper mills or juice production machines.
• The unit is used in conjunction with a proportional servo controller with a tracking device and a belt above the tracking detector.
• Its purpose is to shut down the device in the event of a tracking system failure.
• The valve is connected to a guide that allows the belt to move between 35 and 45 degrees. When the guide rotates the controller, air is automatically supplied to the bellows actuator, causing the rollers that control the tracking system to rotate correctly. During this process, the bellows actuator on the other side is deflated to reach the switching point.
• Later, when the switching point is reached, the pressure of the rubber actuator is equalized and balanced, and the roller returns to the neutral position.
