What is a DOUBLE Convoluted Air bag

Convoluted air springs are made with single, double or triple bellows and are used in a variety of applications and suspensions. These air bags are found on all types of trucks, trailers, and industrial applications.

This model is Double Convoluted Air Spring. Double-Convoluted air bags come in a wide selection of ride heights with various port and bolt configurations. The have a double bellows and look like two air springs stacked on top of each other.

Double convoluted air springs are the simplest solution from a technical point of view for air-suspended secondary springs. As an elastic link between the bogie and railcar body, rolling bellows distance the railcar body to the platform and absorb track irregularities by minimising the transmission of vibrations.
