Locking and unlocking systems for airbags
1. Airbag locking system If the airbag is not connected to the air
source to control the height or has no air valve device, it is
called a locking system. The system uses a fixed amount of gas as
the elastic medium. A certain amount of gas is enclosed in the
system, and the amount of gas remains unchanged under pressure and
rebound.
2. Unlocking system of airbags
Unlocked systems for airbags are the most commonly used today. The
air bag is connected to the air source through a height control or
other air valve device, which is called an unlocked system. Whether
at rest or under pressure, the bladder maintains relatively the
same volume at the design operating height. Under the fixed
condition of the height valve, the load force and elastic
coefficient change with the change of the pressure of the fixed
gas. With this system, the additional pressurized gas maintains the
height of the air bag even as the air bag load changes. In this
way, in the case of changes in load, since the system can keep the
volume of the airbag unchanged, the natural vibration is more
stable than the locking system. In short, the natural vibration
frequency of the system will not change when the load changes.
Advantages of airbags
1. The elastic coefficient of spring expansion can be controlled;
2. Adjustable load carrying capacity;
3. Easy to achieve height control;
4. Reduce friction;
5. The load changes, but the natural frequency is basically
unchanged.
